Vehicle description
Peugeot 205 Diesel 1.8 GRD (non-turbo) - basic but very cheap motoring!I've owned the vehicle for 4+ years and it's never let me down, but the time has sadly come to part ways (I also have a van that is taking priority and I cant justify keeping the car as well). The vehicle is currently a daily driver, with MOT until August next year. The paint was originally faded grey, so I roller painted it with the turquoise a couple of years ago and brush painted the bonnet and boot (so don't expect a professional finish)!
It has the bullet proof XUD7 engine with a Bosch fuel pump, meaning I've been successfully running it on vegetable oil for the time I've owned it (40K miles). It also runs on normal diesel, but I usually use a mixture of both (70/30 oil to diesel) as sunflower oil is still cheaper than diesel in most supermarkets.
It is 31 years old so definitely has some issues, but that sort of comes with the territory (for those who know these old Peugeots). The main things to mention are that the nearside driveshaft is worn (but I have a spare), power steering pump whines a little (but hasn't gotten worse). Also, it can be a little jumpy in 1st and 2nd gear if you're not gentle with the throttle - probably through general wear of drive chain components. It's not worsened since I've had it and it never bothered me enough to investigate so I have just got used to it. Other than this it flies along with no worries. No history but I've replaced several things. Also had a cambelt 5 years ago (but no receipt). Also no rust! Underneath is solid as was garaged most of its life. Also comes with spare parts (if wanted) including an alternator, fuel pump, injectors, wiper motor etc etc.
Also better mention wheel lock is not included. I might be able to find a stereo for it but the one in there is going in my van so not included. I'll update about this.

Things I'm remembering as I go I have changed the radiator for a new one recently, all 3 engine mounts I've replaced, the drivers and passenger seats I've retro fitted from a Peugeot 306 and are in great condition. I've changed a couple of wheel bearings, both front brake disks, rear brake cylinders, flushed coolant, added a heat exchanger for veg oil running, changed oil but due another. Also have a spare exhaust included in sale if wanted. Oh, and the dash backlight just went out but I do have spare bulbs. Also 4 good tyres, and I've rebuilt fuel pump with uprated veg oil gaskets so no leaks.
I have a spare gearbox which I may sell separately also.
