Vehicle description
Loads more photos available. My stepdad and I buy Subaru's with dead engines, rebuild them and sell them on.
We stripped the engine down and rebuilt it with new bearings, gaskets, seals, got the heads skimmed etc. The valves were all checked and lapped. Pistons checked over and new piston rings added, the cylinders then honed.
With the engine in, I ran it through 500 'running' in miles and fell in love with the car, even without going into boost! My parents decided to part exchange my Forester for this car as a Graduation present.
Since having the car it has had the following:
6000 miles on the new engine with three oil changes with new filters.
Excedy clutch.
RAM induction kit.
Afterburner decat with custom back.
RCM fuel pump.
ZUN front grill, dechromed surround.
Dechromed strip on the rear.
Clear fog light to make it symmetrical.
Larger rear spoiler.
Andy Carr (Team Carr) has remapped the car with overrun (can make it pop) and flat shift, meaning you don't need to take your foot off the throttle when changing gear. Estimated at 270 - 275 bhp with 310 ft lbs torque.
The car is always run on V-Power, as it should. Warmed up and cooled down.
It runs perfectly through all gears with no unwanted noises or dropping off of power.
Bodywork wise, there's a few scratches and stone chips. Mainly the front bumper, rear drivers arch got scraped at some stage so it's touched up.
A headunit trim could be made to smarten it up abit (never bothered me).
The alloys could do with being refurbished.
Only selling as I've seen another car that I want.
Test drives will be by me.
Any questions, please ask.
Thankyou,
Chris
