Hi, I am advertising my elderly fathers Vauxhall Astra Sri 1.2 145bhp 5 Door Hatch car, which I truly believe is probably one of the best examples available and absolutely must be seen. It is only up for sale due to deteriorating health issues and very reluctantly.The car is finished in a lovely Red colour, with a deep shine to the paintwork that looks fantastic. It is a March 2020 car, purchased by my father in May 2023 from Evans Halshaw Vauxhall, so great peace of mind that all stringent checks were done before he bought it. The 1.2 litre high powered 145bhp Sri engine is a gem, with excellent fuel economy, often achieving low to mid 50s mpg. It drives brilliantly with great performance and extremely low running costs. This vehicle is EURO 6 and fully compliant, so can be driven in low emission zones (LEZ).
With only having covered 39,780 miles it really feels like a brand new car. There is a full dealer service history and 1 previous owner, plus all the original owners manuals are in the factory wallet, with 2 keys. There is a long m.o.t until 27th of January 2025, but the car has been meticulously maintained, so will no doubt breeze through the next one. I have some receipts and the invoice from the dealership where the car was purchased.
It is an immaculate example and 100% original. The only small issue is a crack in the black plastic near side door mirror trim (see photo attached) that happened in a supermarket car park. Luckily there was no paintwork damage to the mirror and its a very cheap repair, but as my father is 83, he has not had time to source the small piece of plastic trim required. Apart from that, the car is perfect.
The interior is really tidy and the bodywork is lovely with no obvious scratches or parking dents on any of the panels. The engine bay is also very clean, standard and original.
Equipment levels on the Sri model are so extensive that I cannot list them all, but have included the main extras below. It basically gets most of the factory options including the sporty additions that this model comes with as standard.
There are electric factory tinted windows all round, electric heated door mirrors, electric seat adjustment at the drivers side, a quality media system compatible with Android Auto/Apple Car Play, dual zone climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, comfortable seats with full electric lumbar support, auto lights, trip computer, cruise control, air conditioning and much more.
I cannot stress enough how nice this car is. It is a great all rounder, cheap to own, run and insure. In summary if you want one of the best examples of an Astra and really need great performance with low running costs, then this is a must view.
