Low mileage MGF VVC soft top (with hardtop) for sale £4,300This is a much loved 1999 MGF is reluctantly for sale as it can no longer be stored. Its a lovely car to drive, as anyone who has driven these will know.
The car has been in the family since 2014. My dad bought the MG from the second owner and was later transferred to me. I have been the principal driver since acquisition. The MG has been maintained and serviced at the local garage. There are receipts for all the work undertaken and parts bought.
The MG comes with a good condition (original) soft top; a black hard top (which can be clipped on); the tonneau cover (immaculate) and bikini cover to protect the soft-top from the elements (made by UK Custom Covers - its well made with magnets/Velcro).
The MOT is valid until the 20th of July, 2023. The MOT was a pass last July with just a couple of advisories. In 2020, I bought replacement headlights (as they tend not to be bright enough by modern standards) at a cost of £120, so this wont be an issue.
It has a brand new Exide battery (05/2022). The tyres (Kumho Ecsta) are in excellent condition much favoured by enthusiasts.
In 04/2014 I paid out over £1k to have a new cylinder head gasket fitted as this had been an issue with the model (and we didnt want to risk it failing). It also had a new water pump and cam belt (and full service) at the same time.
It is entirely original (such as MG branded foot mats; the original tape deck etc.) Nothing has been altered.
Given the very low mileage (41K), the engine is in very good condition. The variable valve control (VVC) gives it good torque and performance. For an 1800cc engine, it is surprisingly good on petrol!
